Essential Functions and Responsibilities for Residential Title Examiner

  • Receive all title searches for review and examination where appropriate.
  • Examine the title search to prepare a title commitment.
  • Load the title commitment with all necessary sections complete.
  • Produce a cover letter to highlight matters of title to be included with commitment.
  • Deliver the title commitment to the appropriate parties, including realtors and lenders.
  • Complete all necessary system tasks.
  • Assist with ad hoc title requests and questions to support the business.

Qualifications Required for Title Examiner

  • High school diploma, required. Bachelor’s degree, preferred.
  • Prior title industry experience, required.
  • Computer experience, including Microsoft Office suite / Teams.
  • SoftPro software experience, preferred.
