Please be aware that Philadelphia has increased its share of the transfer tax to be paid at closing from 3.10% to 3.278% effective July 1, 2018.
Taking into account the additional 1% that is payable to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, all deeds submitted for recording on or after July 1, 2018 will be subject to transfer tax at the rate of 4.278%.
A copy of the applicable ordinance is attached.
